Straight Flush
Following the royal flush is the straight flush. The straight flush consists of five straight cards that come from the same suit. For example, cards two, three, four, five and six from the suit of spades is called a straight flush.
Four of a Kind
Third down the list of strongest, is called four or quads. This hand has four cards that have the same face value or same number. An example would be a nine of hearts, nine of spades, nine of diamonds and a nine of clubs. Simply put, same number plus different colors equals a four of a kind hand.
Full House
The full house like the 80's show includes twins. It includes two cards with one number or face value plus three other cards with another face value or number or three of a kind. The player with the highest ranking three of a kind is determined winner of the hand in cases when there are two players holding full houses. An example of a full house is three suits of four and two suits of seven.
Flush

Straight
Five cards of any suit in sequence is a straight. A high straight consists of a ten, a jack, queen, king and an ace. A low suit however consists of an ace, a two, three, four and a five.
Three of a Kind
Three cards of the same number or the same face value make up the "trips" or the three of a kind. A six of hear, club, and a spade plus a nine of hearts and a four of hearts can make up a three of a kind hand as there are three six's and three hearts.
Two Pair
Pairs, as is the meaning, are any pair of cards with the same face value or number. If two or more people have pairs at hand, the highest ranking card wins. In cases where the highest ranking is of the same value, the second highest ranking card will determine who wins. It had not been impossible for the second pair to be of similar ranks; winner of the hand will be determined by whoever player has the highest "kicker" or fifth card.
One Pair
A one pair hand consists of two cards containing the same face value or the same number.
High Card
The weakest of all hands in the poker arena is referred to as the high card. Simply put it is the hand with the highest card or cards who wins.
