Blackjack Strategies
Blackjack is the most popular game played most frequently in several casinos. Some people call this game as twenty-one or 21. The origination for the name of this game belongs to French Scripture vingt-et-un. Another reason why Blackjack is extremely popular is its rules, which are very easy to learn.
However, if you want to make huge money in the game, you need to acquire certain skills. Therefore, here are certain strategies, using which you can win big games in Blackjack. First, while playing Blackjack in online casino, you need to be aware of betting limits, as they differ from one casino to other.
In online casinos, certain betting limits are tinted in different colors, so you can easily make out the difference between different tables. Usually, red color indicates that the betting limit at the table is $5, green indicates a limit of $25 and black color denotes a limit of $100.

If you are a beginner, opt for shoe game (a type of Blackjack). This game comprises of six or eight decks and while dealing the cards to each player the dealer deals it out in face up position. If you are an experienced player then select, the game that has fewer decks and lower house advantage.
Next, after buying the chips and deciding the betting amount you can start playing the game. Your strategy while playing must be to beat the table dealer and get closer to twenty-one. As there are chances of busting (if your cards exceeds twenty-one), you must know how to decipher the cards count and use them effectively. You may count your ace as one or eleven and other cards whose value is between 2 to 9 are calculated considering their face value. King, Queen, Jack and Tens have value as 10 so calculate your cards properly.
Now comes the important part of applying the important strategies. While playing Blackjack you need to know when to surrender, take insurance or split, because these strategies will manipulate your game and ultimately its outcome.
When to Surrender?
Surrender gives you the opportunity to fold the hands. However, you can only opt for surrender after making the move pertaining to that hand. It means that if you split or are on the verge of drawing your third card, you cannot surrender. So, make use of this chance only after the dealer verifies whether he/she possesses a Blackjack or not.
If your winning percentage is high at a particular moment of the game, then surrender your cards. It is also other way round, if your losing percentage augments in later stages, then it is wise to opt out instead of losing huge money.
When to opt for Hitting or Standing?
You will have to make choices during the course of game. Hit, when you wish to draw an extra card and standing happens, when you want to stop at a particular hand value, it means you do not want to accept any more cards from the dealer. For instance, if you have value 11 (card of five value and card of six) and dealer has seven values, then obviously, the dealer will stand on value 17. It means dealer will draw a face card or card that has value of 10. In such situations, you will have to hit as soon as the dealer goes over 17. In addition, when your value exceeds 17 opt for stand.
Right Time to Go For Insurance:
You need to be careful, while using this option, because it is feeble on gambler side to use this strategy (as it denotes gambler that has weak hands). If the card turned up by the dealer in face up comes out to be an ace, then he/she will ask you to get the insurance. In online casino, the word insurance is displayed on the screen. It solely depends on you whether you wish to go ahead with this offer or not.
If you accept insurance, you will have to bet again and its amount must be equal to half of the initial betting limit. Here, winning is paid in 2:1 odds, because with a Blackjack you can retain half of your betting amount, even if you lose.
Splitting Pairs:
If you have two identical cards, you can split the hand in two. It means you can use these cards as two separate entities. Use this strategy, when you have drawn bad odds such as eights, because two eights will give you 16, which in turn will make you go bust. You can play with each card and lessen the chances of busting with splitting pairs.
Thus, with adequate practice you will eventually develop your own strategies, so the key point is to play with patience and pay great deal of attention to every move made by the dealer.
